Change keyboard layout, using putty ?

How do I change Acer Keyboard layout to type my national symbols in AIX ?

I'm using putty over tcp/ip.

It's confusing because there is lots of configurations, devices - for example Acer Keyboard attached directly to computer, lft device (what is it?), tty(terminal over serial connection), pty(pts? -pseudo terminal- maybe my case?).

what configuration I must do to make Acer Keyboard work in my case (putty) ?
